Paper Piecing LO-Lasting Memories Challenge

Hello, I have my Lasting Memories challenge to share with you today. The challenge is to use paper piecing on a layout. Paper piecing is when you use different papers and materials to create an image-for example I have stamped my bear on different paper then pieced them together to create the look. It is a technique I used to use loads, but haven't done in ages, and I have never used it on a scrapbook page. I really enjoyed the challenge. This picture is of me when my first niece, Jessica was born.

 I used-
Dovecraft paper
Ribbon- American Crafts.
The stamp -Forever Friends,
Journaling lable - Making Memories
Flower- Prima
The chipboard sticker, the button, the pearls and pink ribbon were all bits I had, I'm not sure where they came from.

I am looking forward to seeing what you come up with using this technique.

Challenge me Monday.

Good Morning! It's Monday again, so it's time for another challenge over at Fantabulous Cricut! This week's challenge is to use the colour blue and a cloud shape. Here is my card-

I used Create a Critter cartridge for the kite and the clouds. I didn't cut out the face layers. I love this cartridge (I know I say it all the time!) But it is so versatile, it is always the cartridge I look at first. The patterned paper was free from a magazine. The stamp is from an American Crafts set.

I am excited to see what you with this challenge!

2 shades of pink and a cupcake!

Hello, I made this card this evening for the Cooking with Cricut challenge (to use 2 shades of pink and a cupcake) and I realised how much I missed crafting the past week! I have been so busy the past week, planning my best friend's bridal shower/hen night, I have my last assignment for uni for the year due and I also had new sofas delivered so I needed to sort out my living room. I feel like I haven't stopped, and haven't really had any time to make anything! But today is one of my good friend's birthday, so I needed to make her a card, I will see her tomorrow. Here is my card-

I used Doodlecharm cartridge and cut the cupcake out at 3 1/4", the paper is Doodlebug Designs and the stamps are Inkadinkado. I used an X-Cut punch and some Making Memories ribbon.

I also very proud of myself this evening I final sorted out all my scraps!! There was a huge stack of coloured paper that needed to be sorted, so this is what my table looked like -

This was mid-sort. You can still see all that to go. But I did finish it, I should have take a picture once I had finished. Oh well, hopefully it will stay nice and tidy for next week....hopefully!! If you want to join and show off your desk click here

'Its All About You' Challenge.

Hello, today I have my post for the Lasting Memories Challenge-'It's All About You'. The new members of the DT are each posting our layouts each day this week to introuduce ourselves. So here is my LO-

I used American Crafts patterned paper and letters, the flower and cardstock are from Papermania, the tag is K&Co, and the pink letters are My Minds Eye, the embleshments are Making Memories.

I choose these pictures of me and my daughter. Being a Mummy is the best thing in my life! My children make me so happy. Izzy is my little shadow, she follows me everywhere and wants to be doing just what I am doing all the time (She is sitting on my lap as I type this). In almost all the photos of me since Izzy, she is with me!

I haven't played along in What's On Your Workdest Wednesday for the past few weeks, so I thought I would today! Here is my table. I have been working on my layout for the Lasting Memories upcoming challenge-so make sure you check it out, it's going to be great!

Sunbeam Sunday Challenge- A Layout

Happy Sunday! I have a layout to share with you this evening. The challenge this week at Sunbeam stamps, is to make a something inspired by mothers. Well, we have had mother's day here in April, so instead I have done a LO of the moments after my daughter was born. I used the family definition stamp. I love this stamp.I stamped it in teal ink, I like the tone on tone effect. I have used American Crafts paper and stickers, and My Minds Eye chipboard letters. The flowers are Papermania.

This is an 8"x8" layout, so I kept it quite simple. I really like these American Crafts paper, I bought them ages ago, but forgot I had them! I only found them out last week!!
